With extensive expertise in motor vehicle crash investigation, control systems, and dynamic stability assessment, he has held key engineering roles at AC Rochester, Kelsey-Hayes, Saturn/GM, Bosch, Ford, and Delphi. Since 2006, he has been the Principal Engineer at Carr Engineering, Inc. James has created and instructed SAE seminars, authored technical publications, and received SAE’s Forrest R. McFarland Award and Master Instructor designation. James is the owner and CEO of Carr Engineering Inc., and a co-founder and partner of Carr Renewables.

Tomas Konvalina holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University, Canada, and is a registered Professional Engineer in Ontario, Canada. He has over 20 years of renewable energy industry experience across the Americas and Europe. Currently the CEO of Carr Renewables LLC, his previous roles include various leadership positions at Siemens Gamesa, Siemens Wind, Siemens Energy, and Fuel Cell Technologies. Tomas has demonstrated value in innovative conflict resolution, creative warranty management, and product integrity matters. Known for his uncommon winwin thinking and negotiating skills, he received multiple awards for performance and innovation throughout his career.

Pedro J. López is a seasoned professional in the wind industry with over 30 years of experience. He holds a master’s in physics from the University of Valencia. He is a renewable energy consultant and has collaborated with companies like Xabet and Repsol Renovables. From 2000 to 2017, he was Managing Director of Operations and Maintenance at Gamesa, where he built a global service organization, managing 20,000 MW of wind turbines and a budget of over 400 MM€. Pedro has developed numerous industry best practices, maintained a 98% turbine availability for a large global fleet while achieving an 18% EBIT. His expertise includes safety, reliability, and innovation in wind energy operations. Pedro is a member of the Advisory Board of Carr Renewables.

Begoña López holds a “Licenciatura en Bellas Artes” equivalent to a master’s in fine arts (speciality in graphic design), from the University of the Basque Country. Partner in AlfaGrafic, where she was the Art Director worked on graphic design, packaging, and branding projects for various clients. As a painter, she has participated in collective painting exhibitions at prestigious venues such as Casa de Velazquez in Madrid and solo exhibitions at locations like Aula de Cultura de Plentzia and Galería Juan Manuel Lumbreras in Bilbao. Additionally, she has received recognition for her work, being a finalist for the 2nd Prize L’Oreal de Madrid, winning the First Prize from Caja de Ahorros y Monte de Piedad de León in Ponferrada, and receiving an Honorable Mention at the VII Bienal de Pintura Elisa Tomas Yusti in Alicante.

He is recognized in the industry as a technical expert in wind turbine blades due to the extensive experiences in all the phases of the product lifetime and has extended his technical expertise to the rest of the mechanical components and also the understanding of the performance parameters of the turbine. Overall, his track record reflects strong leadership and technical skills in the renewable energy sector. Oscar is the engineering director of Aeroblade, and is a member of the Advisory Board of Carr Renewables.

Dr. Jose Ignacio Llorente is an expert in mechanical engineering with a PhD from the University of the Basque Country. He is a registered professional engineer in Spain and specializes in computational and experimental mechanics, manufacturing processes, and wind energy systems. He has extensive experience in academia and industry, serving as an Associate Professor since 1986 and holding various leadership roles at Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (CTO of Gamesa Eólica 1999-2007, CBO of Gamesa Wind US LLC 1998-2010 and Corporate Product integrity Director for the global Gamesa Fleet 2011-2018). Jose Ignacio has written many scientific papers and articles, authored many patents, and is a member of ASME and ASM. Jose Ignacio is currently the Chairman of the Advisory Board for Carr Renewables.
