With extensive expertise in motor vehicle crash investigation, control systems, and dynamic stability assessment, he has held key engineering roles at AC Rochester, Kelsey-Hayes, Saturn/GM, Bosch, Ford, and Delphi. Since 2006, he has been the Principal Engineer at Carr Engineering, Inc. James has created and instructed SAE seminars, authored technical publications, and received SAE’s Forrest R. McFarland Award and Master Instructor designation. James is the owner and CEO of Carr Engineering Inc., and a co-founder and partner of Carr Renewables.

He has extensive experience in academia and industry, serving as an Associate Professor since 1986 and holding various leadership roles at Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (CTO of Gamesa Eólica 1999-2007, CBO of Gamesa Wind US LLC 1998-2010 and Corporate Product integrity Director for the global Gamesa Fleet 2011-2018). Jose Ignacio has written many scientific papers and articles, authored many patents, and is a member of ASME and ASM. Jose Ignacio is currently the Chairman of the Advisory Board for Carr Renewables.

Our history
Formed in 2019, Carr Renewables, LLC is a corporate fusion of more than 200 years of renewable energy expertise with the resources of Carr Engineering, Inc., a professional services organization
